America's Top Model...

I watch this once in a while... Got this spoof off fashionista sista Grace's blog.

I thought Lindsay Lohan was the cutest thing when she was a little girl a few years back. Such an adorable little girl.

Now, she's just a skanky 'ho. Not that I mind though...

Feel my penance stare, bitch!

To see Mark Steven Johnson's Ghostrider in a 2 second clip, click on the picture above. Yeshhh, that's the smell of turd, membersss, not brimstone.

Though I don't think he fucked up Daredevil 2 years ago but Johnson didn't exactly make it a hit either. I guess, we'll see when it is released in 2007. That's right, 2007. The movie is pretty fucked...

Radiohead gets a new producer...

Ed O'Brien tells all to NME here.

Stuff like this makes me wonder if will bands like Electrico change their producer, Leonard in their case after the 3rd album? After all, the 2 share a very tight and deep working relationship. Hmmm...

How MySpace is the way to go?

An interesting article on how MySpace is changing the way how music is marketed to the masses.

Read about it here.

Sightings of The Flash spotted

Auld Lang Syne

An epiphany struck me that day.

I've spent the last 6 New Year's eves with Alvin. It all started in 1999/ 2000 - the Millenium crossover.

1) 99/00 - Melvin was pissed drunk at Sentosa and was washing my face with spit underneath a coconut tree, telling me how much he loves me. Everybody does. Alvin had to drag his arse back to their hostel room.

2) 00/01 - Me, Melvin, Alvin and George caught one of the crappiest shows ever made: China Strike Force, starring Aaron Kwok. Whatever possessed us to walk into the cinema for that... I'd never know.

3) 01/02 - This is kinda hazy 'cause I can't remember what I did on that night. But I'm sure it involved Alvin somehow or other...

4) 02/03 - I was at the Singapore Expo rave countdown party with Alvin, Chung, Roy, Sujin, my sweet pea Jo and tons of folks. I fertilised a few potted plants in the Expo inside.

5) 03/04 - Was at CHIJMEs. Alvin was pissed. He flashed half of Singapore his thumbee and fertilised the back alleys with his ammonium fluids.

6) 04/05 - We almost got into a fight at Harry's Waterfront, a party organised by Roy.

I called Alvin up and mentioned that we should look for another one at the party Roy is throwing at FLUID bar. Apparently, happy hour rates the whole night long. Got work on the day. Hopefully, the fight doesn't start without me. That'd suck...

I believe in a thing called love...

I was out watching "Quiet: The New Loud II" with a few friends on Sat. Fuzz was commenting how Leslie from The Observatory writes incredible lyrics and how we suck at writing them. Well, I reckon if we were to go for the obviously bad lyrics, people might catch the joke. However, that thought makes me ponder about how scary some of The Love Experiment's lyrics can be. Often, by the delusion of the lyricist... Hmmm...

Then again, check out some of the world's greatest bands with the crappiest lyrics: Led Zeppelin and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I love Led Zep but they have one of the crappiest lyricists on the planet. Ever. Like who the fuck doesn't know that "all that glitters is not gold"??? Duh. Honestly, I've friends who utterly insist that 'Stairways To Heaven' is about heroin and drug-taking. I reckon these fuckers are taking way too much shite... more than Robert Plant and his boys. What's up with Anthony Kiedis' rhyming of "Godzilla, cuntilla" in one of The Peppers' tunes?

Speaking of which, even The Darkness has some pretty good lyrics (in which I'm saying, good = funny). Still haven't gotten the 2nd album yet. Heard from Sujin "Heartbreaker" Thomas that it's more serious than the 1st. Man, that sucks...

Hmmm...

According to my favouritest websitw CHUD, Thom Yorke and his boys, collectively known as Radiohead might be scoring the soundtrack to the movie adaptation of Philip K. Dick's 'A Scanner Darkly'. Read about it here. Well, it isn't the first time they've dipped into doing tunes for soundtracks. Guitarist Johnny Greenwood has appeared in the recent 'Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire', backing Jarvis Cocker. Nice.

Holy fuck!!!

Billy mentioned Micky Yanai, the Japanese AV star who invented the helicopter fuck before. Here's a tribute homepage to the man. You gotta read it for its Engrish. Amazing. Chekkit.

Hey, lookkit!!!

I bumped into Edwin and Gim yesterday at work. And Gim suddenly remembered that she forgot to give me Kevin's blog URL. She couldn't remember anyway but said it was like his ICQ nick.

Voila! Found it today.

Check out that beautiful picture of him. Don't you wanna just pinch his cheeks?

I can't remember how long ago it was since I've read such a detailed account of someone's diet and his alcohol intake. Kevin's blog? Just like the person himself but in written form.

Be still my beating heart...

Got this off an internet forum

Return Of The Phoenix

Will Brett Ratner screw up the franchise? Will Bryan Singer's 'Superman Returns' suck goats' balls?

Check out the X-Men 3 trailer here.

And this is the picture of The Beast. For those not in the know, it's actually Kelsey Grammer (yessshh, from Frasier) underneath the blue paint.

What works...

Fwwwaaahhhhh!!!

Check out the number of hits I've gotten on this blog over the past 3 years. It's nearing 30,000 hits! Over the past few years, I've struck gold on a formula which keeps people from coming back.

a) You post pictures of scantily clad women like this...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Or sometimes a bit of nipple-age helps...

b) You can post pictures of your friends with weird-ass facial expressions

Or this

Thank you for reading.

Interesting article...

I didn't know we will lose certain frequencies in our hearing spectrum as we grow older. Hard of hearing, yes. Damn, then probably I can save that coupla thousand bucks on mastering in the U.S. and spend on beer instead! Since you are supposed to be paying for the mastering engineer's ears eh?

Chekkit out here.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Just watched this over the weekend. Borrowed it from Grace. Was watching it while I was half asleep. But still, it was pretty hilarious. Here's the official site. It stars Bill Murray as Steve Zissou, an internationally famous oceanographer-cum-documentarian and yet another grumpy old man facing a mid-life crisis, Owen Wilson as his possible son and Willem Dafoe as Klaus the German first mate. He's absolutely brillant in this role.

Of course, it also stars the subliminally beautiful Cate Blanchett.

And you really haven't lived until you have heard covers of David Bowie sung in Portuguese and played bossa nova style. Director Wes Anderson sprinkles these covers all over the movie seamlessly. All the tunes were sung by the Brazilian actor and recording artist, Seu Jorge. In addition, it features an irritatingly good soundtrack (which is just plain irritating. Reminds me of Weiyuan's 'Electric Jang 2') which is scored by Mark Mothersbough of Devo. That pretty explains the Casiotone-like soundtrack...

You should get your hands on a copy of the movie. If you are still not convinced, Anderson used stop-motion animation, instead of CGI for the movie. Now, get!
